This delftware pottery plate is polychrome with an image of a rooster standing between sponge-decorated manganese-colored trees with a flock of birds in flight. The plate is part of a group of wares from the Bristol Delftworks known as The Farmyard Series, and this is one of the best and most striking examples.

Current Condition: The plate has minor fritting at the rim and has no restoration
