The white stoneware salt-glazed sweet meat circular dish has six heart-shaped sections in relief. The serving dish is a rare example from the mid-18th century made in Staffordshire, England. Records show two sizes were probably made of this highly decorative form. This example is the smaller version ( 9" and 8" diameter).
