This tiny tankard has a pearlware glaze and is exquisitely hand-painted with a rural " coursing" sporting scene of two greyhounds pursuing a hare. A male figure wearing a red jacket stands by a gate. The piece is an exceptionally rare survivor, a gem in ceramic, and probably made as a cabinet novelty piece to inspire wonder.

Dimensions: 1.5 inches high

Current Condition: Minor wear commensurate with age and with no restorations.
