The large-scale pottery pearlware charger is colorfully hand painted with the head of a smiling man wearing a blue tunic and spectacular turban. It is decorated with double blue lines at the rim and was made in Staffordshire in the early 19th century. This striking piece is probably a "one off," especially commissioned and intended for display.

Diameter: 15.75 inches

Current Condition: There is some kiln detritus and minor wear commensurate with age mainly on the back. There are no restorations.
