This pearlware glazed pottery pitcher was specially commissioned and inscribed for James Hagger Keeper at the Wombwell's Royal Menagerie. The underglaze transfer prints depicting various exotic animals and figures are highlighted in enamel colors. The border is beautifully painted with flowers and leaves, the rim and the handles with pink luster. The pitcher was produced at the Swansea Pottery located in Wales and is a significant historical piece, exceptionally rare and probably unique.

Dimensions: 7 inches high

Current Condition: Repair at handle by the ceramic restorers to the British Royal Family.
