Obadiah Sherratt, a Staffordshire potter, made this rare figure of a huntsman in the early 19th century. The male hunter is dressed in traditional Scottish attire and stands with a rifle, his dog looking up at the game bird he holds aloft. This scarce figure is known as the Deer Stalker, inspired by the print produced by William Adams from the Caledonian series.

Dimensions: 8 inches high

Current Condition: Professionally restored at bocage and upraised arm of the hunter.
