A charming pair of pottery hollow base figures of a recumbent Ram and Ewe and made in Yorkshire at the end of the 18th century. The relief molded coats are decorated with exceptional underglaze manganese, ochre, and blue colors. The pair's heads are molded with a benign expression, and they are obviously very comfortable in each other's company. The pair has an outstanding provenance once part of the famous Glaisher Collection and retains the paper label.

Dimensions: 5.5 inches long

Current Condition: Professional restoration to a hairline at the base of the ram.
