The teapot with the original cover is salt-glazed and is modeled in the form of a fine mansion or townhouse. The rectangular body is molded on three sides with the three-story building, one side with a coat of arms above the doorway, whilst the reverse shows a lion rampant above a fleur de Lys with a figure standing in the open doorway. The spout and handle in the form of a goose with an outstretched hand holding the head. The teapot is an early example and dates to the mid 18th century period. The vessel's diminutive scale indicates the expense of tea, a luxury only to be enjoyed by the wealthy.

Current Condition: Professional restoration to the tip of the spout, cover finial, and minor rim chips.
