This English delftware dish is painted in yellow and manganese and depicts three Chinese figures fishing, the smallest figure is holding a pole with a bird perched on the tip, there are two more birds on the rim along with a small rocky garden. The scene well depicted the artist has captured the event allowing space with elegant effect.

Diameter: 9 inches

Current Condition: Unrestored with a fine hairline which barely shows on the front of the plate.

Provenance: Collection of Alison Franks London and Oxford. Currently with an English collector based in Watford.
