This antique Staffordshire Chamberlain Worcester porcelain fox head stirrup cup is exceptionally well-colored and molded with the inscription at the rim, "Tallyho." The decoration and attention to detail are remarkable in this high-quality piece. A stirrup cup used at the start of a fox hunt meet is used as a "parting cup" to drink while on the horse in the stirrups. The meet is often held at a hostelery, and the traditional drink is usually port or sherry.

Current Condition: fine condition with only minor signs of wear commensurate with age and use.
