These two Astbury - Whieldon type figures of male dancers in a costume made in Staffordshire in the mid 18th century are extremely rare. The figures are wonderfully modeled full of life and character and have lead glaze color decoration. Retains the paper label of Frank Partridge the London Antique dealer and collector of early English pottery.

Dimensions: 5 inches high

Current Condition: Some relatively minor restoration.

Provenance: With Frank Partridge London and New York. Art Institute of Chicago.
