The baking dish is a large size rectangular shape with a plain rim, and the decoration is a cream trailing slip applied onto a very dark brown ground. The dish often termed as a Loaf Dish in the USA was made in The Midlands or North Country England in the mid 18th century. The piece is a highly decorative object with a real antique appeal that would happily locate in a traditional or modern setting.
Dimensions: 14.5 inches high, 16.5 inches wide
Current Condition: There is a professional restoration to a small chip on the rim and at a section of glaze loss.
