A fine well proportioned English pottery prattware toby jug. Good attention to detail is evident in this quality piece with an unusual addition of a resting dog on the base between the two feet of the figure. The addition of Toby jug in the drinker's hand and a beaker and a pipe resting on his jacket are additional embellishments. The handle represents a Baccus inspired figure. The base is impressed with a crown trademark associated with the Mexborough Pottery Yorkshire.

Dimensions: 10 inches high, 8 inches wide, 4.5 inches long

Current Condition: Good condition with only a minor chip at the beaker in the right hand of the drinker.
