A male figure lies prostrate underneath the prancing legs of the horse. The group is modeled on an oblong plinth base with acanthus leaf motifs in relief. This vibrant and exceptionally rare figure is decorated in underglaze Pratt colors and is the only example known extant. This piece is the front cover illustration on Pat Halfpenny's reference work English Ceramic Figures 1740-1840.
Dimensions: 8.75 inches high
Current Condition: Restored, ears, tail, two front legs of the horse, leg of the male figure and stress line at tree trunk at the underbelly of the horse, chip at base.
