A large striking earthenware slipware loaf baking dish on a dark chocolate brown ground with a creamy trailing slip decoration executed boldly and competently. The dish has an additional significant presence of exceptional size at 16.5 inches in diameter. Made in the Midlands or Northern England.

Current Condition: Professional and invisible restoration stabilizing ancient hairline.
