A large and rare pottery version of a Sunderland Pottery watch stand in the form of a long case clock flanked by cherubs who are modeled standing by plinths. The piece decorated with excellent quality pink splash luster and enamels. The base of the group was made with two pin holes for affixing to a mantle, and this is also where the makers' mark is impressed DIXON AUSTIN & CO. These highly decorative pieces were made to hold a gentleman's pocket watch.

Dimensions: 11.5 inches high, 6.5 inches wide, 3 inches long

Current Condition: Excellent professional restoration at finials, petal, and hairline at clock canopy.

Literature: Jonathan Horne Exhibition 1988 illustrates a similar piece.
