A Mid 18th century pottery figure of a seated cat decorated with brown oxide colored glazes in the Thomas Whieldon fashion. The figure is hollow based and though naively made features good detail around the eyes, ears, paws, and separately applied tail. The maker captured the charming character of this contented feline.

Dimensions: 4 inches high, 3 inches wide, 2 inches long
