Antique Pottery Scottish stirrup cup of a hound early 19th century. This early pottery piece is a rare and unusual example because of its large scale and striking modeling and decoration. It is very much a country piece and is an unrecorded form. The size of the stirrup cup with its strong decorative appeal would make a special feature in a collection. It probably originates from one of the Portobello Potteries in Scotland as the color palette corresponds with much of the output from these workshops.

Dimensions: 7 inches high, 3.5 inches wide, 4 inches long

Current Condition: Of good appearance and only minor professional and invisible restoration at the rim.
