A rare and large size creamware pottery tureen in the form of a melon made in Staffordshire or more probably Yorkshire England. The base is modelled in the form of a large leaf and the cover is decorated with smaller leaves and trailing vines. The large scale of the tureen is very impressive and makes a stunning decorative statement.

Dimensions: 8.5 inches high, 13 inches wide, 10 inches long

Current Condition: There is a chip and associated hairline at the rim of the cover and repair to the finial vine.
