An exceptionally fine example of Simon also known as Cymon probably produced by the Wood family of Burslem Staffordshire. The figure is well modelled with very good enamel colors and pearlware glaze. The face of Cymon is very expressive on this appealing figure related to classical Rome and the Decameron fable.

Dimensions: 8.25 inches high, 2.5 inches wide, 3.25 inches long

Current Condition: Minor enamels re-touched
