A large scale Apothecary Display jar of bulbous form tapering towards the base. The blue and white decoration comprises of Chinese figures in a landscape in the Ming style. This spectacular and highly decorative display jar is a very rare example and in fine condition. Attribution, Southwark delft works London dates to the 1650-70 period. Several very large jars have been recorded all with similar Chinese influenced decoration in blue and white.
