Creamware pottery pitcher of good proportion with a hand painted scene of John Lees and his wife seated around a table drinking tea, John is smoking a long stemmed pipe. The pitcher is inscribed JOHN LEES AND WIFE 1782 . The reverse of the jug is decorated with a Chinese Pagoda with trees and plants. Attributed to Leeds Pottery Yokshire, the base has the name in script "Dyson Jo" .

Dimensions: 8.5 inches high, 8 inches wide, 6 inches long

Current Condition: Feint hairlines at rim and restored tip of spout.
