Description
A rare pearlware “tree trunk” spill vase figure of a cow with farmer, a calf and a dog.
Interestingly the cow is actually named “COW” on its back, an amusing touch, as if the bovine needed any extra indication to its nature.
The shaped base, strong colours and movement of the cow give the group much appeal and comedy.
The figure of the Farmer is similar to those found on Pig Tithe Groups.
This piece is attributed to the Patriotic Group of figures.
