A very rare and fine Staffordshire saltglaze teapot Whieldon/Wedgwood mid 18th century. The teapot is relief moulded with a country house, cattle and trees. A similar model was produced in lead glaze with colour oxides, the saltglaze version is much rarer. The teapot and the cover are in wonderful condition with no damages or restorations.
