Antique creamware pottery teapot decorated in the chinoiserie style much in vogue in the late 18th century. The teapot has a strapwork handle work and is decorated in painted blue and red oxide colors. A good quality decorated blue teapot with the unusual and rare addition of red oxide decoration.

Dimensions: 4.5 inches high

Current Condition: Minor restoration at spout, rims and finial

Literature: Lois Roberts Painted in Blue, Undergalze blue painted earthenwares 1775 to 1810....published by the Northern Ceramics Circle England.
