Antique British pottery prattware tankard early 19th century. The tankard is decorated with a coat of arms and bears the names of George and Janet Laing. The tankard is also decorated in the classic "peafowl pattern". The combination of the peafowl pattern with a coat of arms and named are very rare features. Unrecorded example.

Literature: George and Mickey Deike's definitive reference on peafowl titled Feathers and Foliage. The Deikes named this specific peafowl "FANCY".
