Antique English Staffordshire Whieldon type pottery teapot circa 1765. This fine pottery teapot is decorated in oxide colours on a creamware body in the Whieldon fashion. The piece has a good lead glaze which adds to the strong decorative effect achieved by the relief molded trailing vines and grapes. A gem of a teapot from the mid 18th century.

Current Condition: Minor restoration at tip of spout.
