This rare pottery bocage pearlware complex figure group shows male and female figures with a group of four dogs dressed in human attire. The male figure plays the pipes, and the female holds a puppy wearing a hat in her arms—a delightfully appealing group from the  Staffordshire potters made in the early 19th century.

Dimensions: 9.75 inches high

Current Condition: Professionally restored dog,leaf, extremities , break in trunk and some rubbed enamels re-touched

Literature: Myrna Schkolne Book, People,Passions,Pastimes and Pleasures Staffordshire Figures circa 1810-35 page 118 illustrates a similar figure.
