This striking figure of a black and yellow cat molded with two separate legs and a curling tail and seated on an oval base was made at the Staffordshire Potteries in the mid-19th century. The figure has an amusingly alert presence enhanced by pricked-up ears and expressive eyes.

Dimensions: 8.25 inches high

Current Condition: Some black enamels re-touched,

Provenance: Retails the label of RTS Antiques and then from a collectors in South Wales.
