This rare Staffordshire porcelaneous enamel-coloured half-bust of King William IV was made to commemorate his coronation in 1830. The King is modeled with a regal stance in this engaging representation.  

Dimensions: 6.25 inches high

Current Condition: Good condition.

Provenance: Private Collection Manchester and retains a label of the Critchley Collection.

Literature: A bust with similar features attributed to Obadiah Sherratt and is illustrated on page 239 Volume 4, Staffordshire Figures 1780-1840 by Myrna Schkolne
