A Staffordshire stoneware salt-glazed scratch blue tankard with expressive incised decoration of a stag standing in a natural setting of flowers and shrubs. The tankard is exceptionally well formed with narrow turned bands and a flared base and dated to the mid 18th century.

Current Condition: Stable star crack to the base and minor signs of wear commensurate with age.
