A good  English brown stoneware salt-glazed Loving Cup with exceptional rouletted and incised sgraffito decoration in a rolling design incorporating a tulip, sharp petal and round head flowers, and a bunch of grapes. The inscription in the script reads, " Roger & Sarah Vickers Oakerside, Long may they live happily may we be blest with contentment from misfortune free Sept.23 1831". The cup has two reeded strap handles. This decoration style was popular from the 18th century to the early 19th century.
