This is a large-sized English delftware posset pot with the original cover. The body is decorated in blue with birds perched amongst flowering branches. The strap-formed handles have blue dashes, and the curved spout has a scrolling foliage design. The cover with a rounded finial continues the flower and leaf decoration found on the body.

Current Condition: Restored to hairlines at the rim and minor rubbing to blue flower..
