Description
This large stoneware flagon or serving bottle is four gallons in size. Below the spout is a deeply impressed inscription: ” 335 George Dady Norwich.” Another inscription at the handle terminal reads “4,” and below that, “Fulham Stone Pottery Glazed Inside.”
Note;
George Dady was the landlord of the Walnut Tree Shades tavern in Norwich, England; he died in 1859, aged 27, and his wife died a year later in a gunpowder explosion.
