An English creamware pottery teapot printed with the subject of  The Prodigal Son " Taking leave" and " Receives his Patrimony" painted over-glaze in enamel colors. The cover has a flower head finial with a leaf and flower terminal and images of two winged angels. William Greatbatch produced a range of subjects relating to the Prodigal Son story in the last quarter of the 18th century. The underglaze transfer prints and enamel decoration are fine examples.

Dimensions: 5.5 inches high

Current Condition: Tip of spout restored.
