This fine English delftware posset pot is polychrome and decorated in red, blue, and green with a profusion of chinoiserie sprays of flowers and leaves. The pot has a curved spout and flat scroll handles, a domed cover with a mushroom-formed knob finial, and is in remarkable condition. The inside of the lid and at the inner base of the pot is the numeral 3.  

Dimensions: 7 inches high

Current Condition: Fine condition with only minor fritting at edges.

Provenance: From the personal collection of Yvonne Hackenbroch Curator at the Metropolitan Museum New York and worked at The British Museum London .
