A fine antique slipware loaf baking dish with an extraordinary double slip trail lattice pattern and a pie crust rim. The decorative trailed slip is a dark honey colour over a dark brown slip on the reddish clay body. The dish has an unusual depth of 4 inches. The overall decorative aspect is very strong and organic. A similar dish is located in the Victoria and Albert Museum London.
