A rare pottery model of a "cobble" a boat used on the East Coast of England. Reputedly these models, all differently coloured, were hung in the window of fishermans cottages, their boat could be recognized by customers who may wish to rent having seen the actual vessel in the harbor. This is a particularly elegant example. These beautiful boats are still used today mainly on the eastern coast of England.
