A rare pottery surface decorated agateware ball with mocha related colours. A most unusual and rare piece. The ball is thickly potted with two air holes and the various coloured slips are strongly applied. The ball is a wonderful item and I have no idea if it was produced for a purpose other than decoration.

Current Condition: Fine unrestored and clean condition.

Provenance: Private collection of a lady from London (retired antique dealer in Portobello Road).
